EA and Take-Two - Image 1Electronic Arts and Take-Two Interactive (who's not seemingly very interactive in this case) are still engaged in a struggle as to the negotiations pertaining to the acquisition. It's been going on quite a long while now, and still there's no clear light at the end of the tunnel. Well, at least it gives Michael Pachter something to do. Ron - Image 1 How much grief must a muggle bear? Just days after news hit that Warner Brothers was pushing the release of the sixth movie in the septology into 2009 comes this quote from an Electronic Arts spokesman regarding the fate of the videogame adaptation:

“We are making a great game that Harry Potter fans will really enjoy — we are evaluating the impact of the movie date change,”

Maggie Q - Image 1The Need for Speed ProStreet gig didn't work out for Electronic Arts and internal studio Black Box, but the superstar publisher decided they could still make a turnaround for the franchise again, starting with Need for Speed Undercover. Perhaps guided by the popularity of night and illegal street racing movies, Need for Speed Undercover's design resettled for the open sandbox design of Most Wanted with a different story. A story, they say, that will include Mission Impossible 3's Maggie Q.

Sonic the hedgehog - Image 1Sega may not be the console manufacturing giant that it was in the early to mid-90's, but it's pretty happy where it's at right now. The publisher says it's in a good position to succeed and it's looking at companies like THQ to compete with.
