Bionic Commando Rearmed has suffered a few delays for its console versions and people waiting for it are getting just a wee bit anxious. Now, the devs promise that the game will launch come what may by mid-August. We've got their latest announcement covered in the story after the jump.

Yes, we've heard about talk concerning the "major shocking" *gasp* announcement for Square Enix's much-loved Final Fantasy VII, and so far we haven't heard about what exactly the announcement is about. To those of you wondering if Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be joining the same cross-platform bandwagon as Final Fantasy 13, the answer is a solid and resounding "no". Jack Tretton, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), mentioned that such a thing would be "impossible" for other consoles to achieve, knowing the game's heavy technical demands. This week's release list can be described in a few words: college football. Tuesday marks the release of multiplatform sports game NCAA Football 2009 on every modern console there is to date. During our search, we've found that some games haven't surfaced in the previous weeks - even on online retail. So expect to see a repeat showing this week. It's another jam-packed episode for QuickPeek - this, even though we're a day short from the usual seven-day cut-off. GTA 4 is still making waves a full month after its release and there seems to be some explosion of sorts among homebrew emulators across different platforms. Grab them green-skinned creatures and follow the exodus to the odd world of gaming!

Aaron Greenberg of the Xbox 360 team lampooned Sony earlier this month, saying how slow they are in delivering their products. He isn't through yet though. Epic Games announced that it has recently acquired Chair Entertainment, the dev studio behind the Xbox Live Arcade title Undertow.

Chair's also working on a game series based on the "Ender's Game" novels, so it'll be interesting to see how this new arrangement will affect that project. More details on the acquisition are available in the full article.

Get ready to blast off with the Rocketmen once again as Capcom recently announced that the next chapter in this downloadable action series will be arriving on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network next week. Rocketmen: It Came from Uranus will feature three new maps, as well as several new toys to zap all the new enemies with. A lot of us were shocked to see a Grand theft Auto 2 countdown on the Rockstar Games site, and for good reason. Some of us may have thought that the sighting could lead to a release of the game on the PSN or the XBLA, but no dice.
