LittleBigPlanet - Image 1 Media Molecule believes that their upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive LittleBigPlanet will be a console-mover. This was stated by producer Eric Fong at San Diego's recent Comic-Con.

Fong says LittleBigPlanet has an appeal which is universal, and it doesn't matter if you're a hardcore or a casual gamer. He also earmarked "everyone" as their target market, and highlighted the innovative features which make their game unique and fun.

"It's got enough complexity that people can play it and enjoy it for many hours; at the same time, if you're just a casual user you can run through and play the game and have fun with it," he said. "Everything you see in the developer levels, you can create as the player."

The one challenge that Fong did concede was that of making consumers more aware of how good their product is. . "How do you explain the game...without getting your hands on it? It's a difficult thing to do," he lamented.

Fong then stressed the importance of having a major presence in events like Comic-Con and Games Convention. He said giving the players some hands-on time with the title is a good way of orienting them on what they're getting for their money.
